The Unholy Gospel Band make a welcome return to The Anchor this July as part of the Live at The Lighthouse series, bringing an unforgettable evening of soul, gospel and world-class musicianship back to Newcastle.

Fronted by Cormac Neeson, renowned as the lead singer of acclaimed rock band The Answer, The Unholy Gospel Band is Northern Ireland's first authentic American gospel ensemble. Joined by an outstanding lineup featuring Michael Mormecha (drums), Claire McCartney (keys), Donal Scullion (vocals and lead guitar) and Eamon Hanlon (bass), the band delivers a performance that is both powerful and uplifting.

Inspired by the rich traditions of American gospel music, audiences can expect timeless classics made famous by Mahalia Jackson, The Staple Singers, Jackie Wilson and many more. Blending soaring harmonies, heartfelt vocals and exceptional musicianship, every performance celebrates the joy, passion and spirit of gospel music.

Following a hugely successful appearance before The Anchor's reopening, we're delighted to welcome the band back to The Lighthouse for what promises to be another unforgettable night.
